We are currently looking to hire a full time VP of Strategic Sales. The VP of Strategic Sales is responsible for ensuring that SYSPRO’s sales objectives across all regions for L1 and L2 customers in the country are met. This position involves supervising the entire L1 and L2 sale teams of the organization as well as defining and executing the sales strategy needed to achieve the objectives.

 

 

The VP of Strategic Sales position is responsible for but not limited to:

  • Manage a team of L1 and L2 sale resources focused on covering driving revenue growth in existing L1 and L2 key accounts for both direct and indirect sales
  • Driving new customer acquisition of L1 and L2 customers thorough direct and indirect sales including playing an active role in coaching and mentoring resources on who to identifying and close new business in both existing and target accounts, participating in sales calls and providing coaching
  • Oversee the setting of sale targets for both direct and indirect sales with relevant metrics to ensure SYSPRO can meet the sales target revenue budget and then managing and measuring the performances against targets for all L1 and L2 sale resources
  • Oversee the management of sales pipeline and sales qualification process for both direct and indirect sales as well as the weekly pipeline reporting/forecasting management
  • Recruit, develop, motivate, and mentor L1 and L2 sale teams in accordance with company policies, standards, and practices, including extensive travel with sale teams and helping the team achieve optimum success
  • Sell and promote the value of SYSPRO solutions to customers including negotiation pricing
  • Exceed sale goals through aggressive strategic and tactical plans for sustainable growth
  • Generate and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts, and accurately predicts revenue on a monthly basis
  • Assist in the development of short, medium, and long-term plans to achieve strategic objectives
  • Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sale teams for both direct and indirect sale members are educated and capable of positioning the value
  • Provide coaching, education, tools, and guidance for the L1 and L2 teams for both direct and indirect sales to transition the focus on sales discussions from IT to discussions to business value discussions with C-level executives in customers
  • Develop and execute a territory plan for both direct and indirect sale teams to maximize revenue and SYSPRO footprint
  • Conduct weekly progress meetings with sale teams
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements

 

Qualification/Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Business Administration or similar relevant field or must have minimum amount of experience with references and or achievements to prove the capability.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Enterprise software sales experience for both direct and indirect sales and have been in a management role, including 5+ years strategic sales management experience.

 

Skills Required:

  • Enterprise solution selling and Bid management understanding
  • Solid comprehension of competitor strategies and capabilities for effective positioning of SYSPRO services in the marketplace
  • Exposure in selling to C-level executives for the manufacturing industry
  • Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations
  • Ability to quickly read and understand the needs of customers and team members and adapt your own behavior to best serve customers
  • Strong listening, written, and verbal communication capabilities
  • Should have a high level of familiarity with sales strategies to attract and retain customers
  • Ability to negotiate price terms and conditions
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding quarterly, annual targets
  • Ability to plan, organize, and problem solve
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Full knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of ERP and CRM software
  • Understanding of manufacturing industry
  • Good financial acumen

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel 40% to meet with customers and prospects
