At SYSPRO the Sales Development Strategist (SDS) is responsible for working directly with outside sales on opportunities in the later stages on the B2B sales cycle to secure new business wins for both the direct and channel teams. The person in this role will be focusing on managing opportunities in both early and later stages to educate prospects on business benefits, product functionality, and the SYSPRO brand promise.

The Sales Development Strategist (SDS) position is responsible for but not limited to:

  • Responsible for engaging specific account prospects and moving them to successful close in partnership with outside sales and marketing
  • Manage data for prospects in CRM, ensuring information is documented, accurate, and adds to the productivity of further qualification and account-based strategic plans
  • Receive formal training and maintain an understanding of SYSPRO brand, technology, and product functionality in order to be able to do high-level software demonstrations
  • Use sales enablement tools and social networking sties to assist the direct and channel teams
  • Provide insightful information for inclusion in sales proposals, detail competitive analysis, and account plans to aid in revenue generations, including relevant information on buyer process and the decision making team
  • Maintain an understanding of solutions selling and the ability to establish relationships within all levels of the buying team
  • Build and cultivate relationships with key buying influencers in order to move opportunities through the sales funnel

Qualification/Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from College or university or 3-5 years of experience working in sales or related field with an understanding of ERP software, B2B Software, and Manufacturing and distribution is a plus
  • Full knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and CRM
  • Strong client relationships building
  • Must be able to produce a high number of outbound calls
  • Ability to maintain an understanding of solutions selling
  • Strong negotiation skills
